Steve Whiteside is a highly sought after coach and trainer who has worked with individuals of all abilities, ranging from fitness beginners and recreational athletes, all the way to international level sports competitors.
He holds an Honours degree in kinesiology from The University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Education specializing in physical education from The University of Windsor. He has extensive knowledge of functional anatomy, exercise physiology and biomechanics. In addition to this education, Steve is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is a certified TRX and kettlebell instructor and is also trained in myofascial release techniques.
Drawing on over 16 years of experience as an elite gymnast and member of Team Canada, a coach and an educator, Steve has been able to successfully provide his clients with the competencies needed to achieve their fitness and lifestyle goals. He provides individually tailored programs to his clients using a collaborative and holistic approach, providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to lead healthier and happier lives. This approach, in combination with his positive, energetic and collaborative training style, motivates his clients and helps them get the most out of every session. Using cutting-edge science and proven exercise techniques, each workout progressively introduces physical and mental challenges that empower and transform the way his clients think and feel about fitness, exercise and life.
